Welcoming the Haringey Zero by 2050 Commission’s report, Lendlease’s Managing Director of Sustainability, Paul King, said:

As the preferred developer for High Road West in North Tottenham Lendlease has, amongst a wide range of sustainability initiatives, committed to:
- deliver zero carbon homes from the outset and target zero carbon buildings from 2019
- deliver the High Road West District Energy Centre to supply low carbon energy to North Tottenham
- deliver affordable homes designed to ultra-low energy efficient standards, making them very affordable to heat
- install smart meters to promote energy efficiency in every home.
Lendlease is recognised as a leader in sustainability and carbon reduction.
Elephant Park in Elephant & Castle, being delivered by Lendlease, is the only UK project, and one of just 19 projects globally that have been accepted into the C40 Cities Climate Positive Development Program with a roadmap to become ‘climate positive’ within the first year following completion.
In 2016 Lendlease was ranked first among the largest 25 UK residential developers based on our sustainability performance by the NextGeneration Sustainability Benchmark.
Lendlease has signed up to the World Green Building Council’s pledge to deliver 100% net zero carbon buildings by 2050.
