Knauf AMF is at the forefront of new technology, developing acoustic ceiling and wall solutions that help transform buildings into healthy environments. The company is excited to showcase one of its latest innovations, Heradesign wall absorbers, on Stand 9 at the 2017 Architects at Work show in London.
Heradesign high-performance wall absorbers are specified by architects to create a bold architectural statement in contemporary interiors, historical properties and refurbished buildings.
Manufactured using sustainable materials and technologies, including wood from PEFC and FSC certified sources, Heradesign wall absorbers have a distinctive textured surface that is available in five face patterns, a wide range of sizes and edge details and can be specified in almost any colour including those from popular colour systems: RAL, NCS, BS or StoColor. Heradesign is a unique product which offers architects the ability to create bold, eye-catching designs which are truly original.
Heradesign wall absorbers are practical too. They are designed to be resilient, offering the highest Class 1 A impact resistance. The wall absorbers are lightweight and easy to cut, allowing for quick and straight forward installation. Heradesign provides Class A sound absorption, making it effective at controlling unwanted noise and improving speech intelligibility.
Umesh Mistry of GT Architects was very impressed by the versatility of Heradesign wall absorbers and quickly realised that it would be the perfect solution for a demanding sports hall environment.
“The sports hall is subjected to tough daily use and must be able to withstand heavy impact from a large number of sports. Heradesign is strong and robust and can cope with substantial wear and tear. Heradesign’s Class A sound absorption helps control noise in this highly reverberant area enabling us to create a comfortable space where people can play sport without intrusive noise. The finished result is great, and I will be specifying Heradesign on future projects.”
Heradesign is also available as suspended ceiling tiles, ceiling rafts, fins or baffles. Baffles, rafts and fins can be specified in various sizes with different fixing options making them a flexible design solution.
