ISG is underway with a £multi-million contract to fit-out the new London office for multi-national creative communications agency Saatchi & Saatchi.
The Cat-B fit-out of the newly-constructed 100,000 sq ft, six-storey building at 40 Chancery Lane in Midtown, sees ISG deliver a high-specification, majority open plan commercial office scheme, incorporating an innovative REHAU CoolBoard chilled ceiling system.
ISG pioneered the use of this highly-efficient, pre-fabricated one piece ceiling system in the UK at the ground-breaking Crystal building in London’s Victoria Dock. The Siemens facility was the first building in the world to hold the highest environmental accreditation standards of LEED Platinum and BREEAM Outstanding simultaneously.
ISG will form two reception areas and install three new staircases in the building, with a series of meeting rooms, cellular offices and communal break out areas also created. Additionally, ISG will carry out landscaping at ground floor level and at the fifth floor terraced area, installing additional mechanical and electrical plant at roof level.
Matt Blowers, managing director of ISG’s UK Fit Out business, commented:
“Demand for high-specification office space in the Midtown area continues to exceed supply and the area continues to attract many of the world’s leading creative businesses. This is an excellent win for the business for a globally renowned organisation and further underlines our leading position in the London office fit out market.”
