The Qatar Green Building Council (GBC) is the latest organisation to join ISA, the global networking organisation dedicated to improving the sustainability of real estate through benchmarking. Qatar GBC is joining as a strategic member, which reflects its special role in acting as a focal point for Qatar-based companies to also join ISA.
Meshal Al-Shamari, Director of Qatar GBC. said:
“Joining ISA fits our strategic objective to foster the growth of innovative, sustainable development for the whole of Qatar.
“ISA plays a leading role in sustainability benchmarking on an international basis, and membership will open up new avenues and opportunities for companies operating in Qatar and play an important role in raising awareness about green development.”

Qatar GBC’s operations are underpinned by a sustainability education and training programme, intended to create a sustainability culture amongst industry professionals, and a research programme, which aims to fill knowledge gaps and identify areas for improvement in Qatar’s built environment.
