Hundreds of local landlords gathered at the 9th Bournemouth and Poole Landlords Exhibition to gain insights into the rental business from industry experts.
Organised by Seventa Events in conjunction with Bournemouth Borough Council and Borough of Poole the Bournemouth and Poole Landlord Exhibition was attended by an estimated 500 landlords from across Bournemouth and Poole. The two towns have a very large private rented sector – an estimated 28 per cent of households in Bournemouth and 16 per cent in Poole – plus a large student population both of which continue to grow. There’s a high demand for rental properties with the private rental sector making up a significant part of the market in Bournemouth and Poole.
With this continued growth, the free event, sponsored by LettingsBU, was an opportunity for established and prospective landlords to get together with rental sector businesses and learn more about legislation and changes within the industry. A major attraction of this year’s exhibition was the series of free workshops and seminars.
Councillor Robert Lawton, Bournemouth Cabinet Member for Housing, said:
“We are delighted at the success of the 9th Landlord Exhibition. We recognise and value the economic and social contribution the rental business makes to the region. We are committed to ensuring that both tenants and property owners in our area receive the best possible service.”
Cllr Karen Rampton, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Housing and Community Services, Borough of Poole, said:
“It’s really good that so many exhibitors and landlords came together for a successful event. We look forward to our continued joint partnership with Bournemouth to deliver more events like this in the future”
Leigh Ashbee of Progressive Property Network led the first-ever ‘Expert Hour’ – a new, and extremely popular feature of the exhibition.
“It was a great event. Thank you to Bournemouth and Poole Councils and Seventa Events for providing this platform for local property businesses and landlords to come together. It’s such an important resource. We especially appreciated the opportunity to provide an expert hour of free advice and support to delegates. It was immensely gratifying to see how well attended and valued the session was.”
Another first this year was the post-exhibition drinks and networking event hosted by Pure Networking. This was a great way to unwind after an information-packed day and was greatly enjoyed by delegates, speakers, and exhibitors.
Stuart Hartley, Event Producer at Seventa Events, said:
“It’s been another highly successful Bournemouth and Poole Landlord Exhibition – informative, productive, interesting, and enjoyable. Thank you to all our sponsors and to everyone who came to the event and helped make it such an excellent day.”
