The Healthcare Estates Exhibition and Conference will focus on key areas impacting on the design, build, managing and maintaining of healthcare facilities.
Taking place in Manchester on the 4th & 5th October the event attracted representatives from over 220 NHS Trusts with 3,700 attendees filling the halls and theatres last year.
The organisers, Step Exhibitions, are developing a free programme that compliments the main conference programme looking at a number of the key issues impacting on the estates departments responsible for maintaining and running our hospitals efficiently.
Visitors to the exhibition are able to attend these presentations which are complimentary giving more compelling reasons to attend the event in October.
Steve Webb, director of Healthcare Estates, said:
“We are aiming to attract over 500 conference delegates to the conference this year and are working very hard to make the event an even more attractive proposition to Healthcare employees and the NHS and Private sector.
“As well as reduced price train travel for early bookings, we also offer visitors who drive complimentary parking, complimentary tea and coffee on site and discounted delegate rates to the conference, providing a compelling package for attending”.
Six dedicated exhibition zones and theatres on the exhibition floor provide complimentary content, catering for VIPs and areas to network and hold meetings over the two days of Healthcare Estates. The details for each area will be finalised over the next two months and announced along with the full conference programme in June.
The outline for these is:
- Water & Infection Control Zone
- The Specification & BIM Zone – the programme will be developed with Architects for Health and the Construction Industry Council
- The Energy Efficiency Zone
- The Mental Health & Dementia Zone
The organisers also announced a new area for 2016 – The Hospital Engineering Zone – which will feature a programme delivered with key NHS Trusts on innovative engineering projects recently completed.
The theme over the two days is ‘creating safe and therapeutic environments in healthcare facilities’.
