The UKs largest Landscape supplier, Green-tech has been shortlisted in the Harrogate Advertiser Excellence in Business Awards 2020 for the Best Family Run Award category.
The Award Ceremony to announce the winners will be held on the 2nd April at The Pavilions in Harrogate and will be hosted by BBC Look North’s presenter, Harry Gration. Green-tech will find out then if they have won their category.
The judges were looking for entrants to successfully demonstrate a sensible division of responsibilities and focus, a management structure that ensures fluid decision-making and the wise use of external advisers, among other areas.
Green-tech’s Managing Director Rachel Kay comments,
“This award recognises the best family businesses so Richard and I are incredibly proud to have been shortlisted. We founded Green-tech in 1994 and worked from home. We had a few hundred pounds in the bank and a small van to get us going. Today we have a purpose-built business park called Rabbit Hill which is just outside Boroughbridge on the A168. We have vast warehousing and great office space and employ almost 90 people to help us run the business. We have built quite the family over the last 26 years and have shared many highs and a few lows along the way. Today, Richard and I are still at the helm but we are supported by seven Directors and Green-tech is the success it is because of the commitment of the whole team.”
