Employee Ownership – how it works in practice

Tuesday 17th March – 8.30am-1pm – at National Self Build & Renovation Centre, Swindon

The Rooflight Company began when architect Peter King, RIAS, designed the first Conservation Rooflight to modernise the Victorian roof window. The business based in Oxfordshire continued to grow with a passion for product design and innovation but at the heart of its success were its people, who made the difference.

When owners, Peter and Val King, Managing Director of the company were considering their exit plan there really was only one option, Employee Ownership, a way to create a legacy of sustainable business working for the benefit of all the staff members. Driven by the belief that a business can be a force for good through its Guiding Principles of Values-led-culture, Innovation and Long-term sustainability, the company became employee owned in March 2019.

Getting the right advice and support to be able to transition to employee owned is key for anyone considering this option for their business, which is why the Rooflight Company now wants to share their experience by hosting a FREE to attend half-day conference on Employee Ownership, how it works in practice.

The conference will include:

  • Clear understanding of the benefits and issues of employee ownership
  • Special guest speaker, Peter Morris of Allford Hall Monaghan & Morris
  • The challenges and opportunities of Employee Owned Trusts explained
  • Access to experts in the legal, financial & cultural aspects of EO
  • Audience Q&A panel session
