Design award winning chair on sow at furniture HQ

An award-winning chair is the latest addition to the Innovation Showcase at the headquarters of the furniture industry’s largest association.

Winner of the Furniture Makers’ Design Guild Mark, the Miami Chair by Morgan is one of four products currently on display at the Furniture Industry Research Association.

A variety of representatives from across the furniture industry supply chain visit the FIRA headquarters on a regular basis and members of the Association have the opportunity to display new and innovative products on the Showcase.

Katerina McMahon, Design Director at Morgan, said:

“The Miami Chair has been designed with a view to creating a striking contemporary version of a vintage style. It has an elegant slim profile, with generous seat cushions to ensure Morgan’s standards of comfort.

“Morgan designs and creates furniture collections with a distinctive harmony of form and function that represents the utmost commitment to originality, quality and value. With a continuing commitment to sustainability, our environmental plan sets out to proactively reduce the impact of their operations, rather than just striving to meet regulations. The FIRA Showcase is the perfect place for visitors from across the furniture industry to view this beautifully designed product.”

Made to contract standards using sustainable PEFC timber and top quality CMHR foams, the range is aimed at contemporary reception areas in hospitality or corporate environments.

Established sixty four years ago, the Furniture Industry Research Association was set by the industry for the industry. It provides invaluable technical support to the entire furniture supply chain and funds projects for the benefit of the industry.

Morgan’s collections are manufactured in the UK at their factory in Hampshire. They can be viewed at their showroom in London’s Clerkenwell or on their website –
