Cundall’s London office showcases the WELL Building Standard® during Green Sky Thinking Week

Cundall is celebrating Green Sky Thinking week with a WELL Building Standard® (WELL) seminar and tour of its new London office. One Carter Lane is one of the first buildings in Europe to be registered for WELL Building Standard® accreditation, targeting GOLD.

In conjunction with the BCO, Thursday 28 April will see Cundall hosting a lively series of talks from a panel featuring Cundall, Studio Ben Allen and Legal and General Property, talking about WELL from three different perspectives: design team, tenant and the developer.

Alan Fogarty, Cundall Sustainability Partner, will kick off with an introduction of WELL, followed by architect Ben Allen of Studio Ben Allen, who will focus on the design aspect. Simon Wyatt, Cundall Sustainability Associate, will turn the audience’s attention to the tenant’s perspective and the seminar will conclude with Debbie Hobbs, Sustainability Manager of Legal and General Property, who will focus on a developer’s perspective.

The event will conclude with a tour of One Carter Lane, whose WELL Building Standard® registration is an expression of Cundall’s belief that sustainable design can forge a workspace that promotes individual well-being as well as inspiring creativity and collaborative working.

The 4,693 m² office is a showcase for how a first class (CAT-A) office fit-out can apply a host of carefully thought out features, including low VOC materials and innovative green walls, to create a healthy, efficient and future-proof space that is kind to the environment whilst putting the wellbeing of the occupants at the heart of the design.
