CPMG Architects boost team with senior promotions

Following an exciting period of growth, architecture firm CPMG Architects have announced two senior promotions within its head office team.

Ruth Evans has been promoted to associate and will head up and nurture a team of designers on the delivery of high-spec interior design schemes for clients, as well as working with the senior management team to continue growing the company’s client base.

Ruth said: “I initially joined the team during my placement year at university studying interior design. Since day one – even as a student – I was given my own responsibilities and felt that I was valued. It’s one of the reasons I returned after university, and again after having my son.

“My colleagues at CPMG are a very professional, friendly and supportive group of people. I’ve had the privilege of working on countless high profile and rewarding projects during my time here, including the Teeside University Library refurbishment and the SkyRail ‘people-mover’ transit system for passengers at Birmingham International’s multimodal interchange.

“Now, I’m responsible for a team of interior designers, and I’m looking forward to helping them to create schemes which perfectly fulfil the briefs of our clients and to driving new business opportunities to grow our client base.”

Another long serving member of the team, Jason Evans, has been promoted to associate after initially joining the team in 2000 following his studies at the University of Derby. He has built up vast amounts of experience within CPMG, leading the delivery of work across the education, commercial, residential, ministry of defence and transport sectors.

Jason said: “During my time at CPMG, I’ve had the pleasure of working closely with a wealth of clients and contractors and have been able to amass a great deal of experience from the challenges that both new build and refurbishment projects present. I’ve worked on a wide range of developments, including the refurbishment and remodelling of the Grade II listed Walsall Central Library and Loughborough University’s STEMLab, as well as working alongside Ruth on a number of high-profile projects.

“Everyone at CPMG takes huge pride in ensuring we deliver the highest standard of service on every project, and I look forward to sharing my unique technical perspective with the management team.”

Richard Flisher, managing director at CPMG, said: “It’s been an exciting few months for CPMG as we continue to expand our team across the UK, with numerous appointments, promotions and the opening of our third office. We’re very proud to announce the promotions of Ruth and Jason, both longstanding members of our team in Nottingham. They are both highly valued members of our team and these promotions are a testament to their continued enthusiasm and hard work.”

The team has delivered a number of architectural and interior design projects in Nottingham, including 23 Goldsmith Street, a project incorporating purpose-built office space and meeting rooms for Nottingham Trent University’s staff and students, the refurbishment of The Portland Building at the University of Nottingham and interior design for Kitty Café.
