Bellway Homes Site Manager, George Carty from Cumbernauld has made it two winning years in a row, having secured his second NHBC ‘Pride in the Job’ Award.
With a career in the construction industry that spans an impressive 26 years, George scooped the NHBC award for the second consecutive year for the company’s ‘The Avenues’ development at Calderpark on the edge of Glasgow.
Close to the former site of Glasgow Zoo, 47-year-old George along with his team has transformed the area into a thriving residential neighbourhood.
Having started in the industry as an apprentice joiner, George joined Bellway Homes over a decade ago as an Assistant Site Manager. Just under two years later, he was then promoted to Site Manager. George said:
“To win an NHBC award two years running is such an honour. There’s a great feeling of satisfaction that our hard work is being recognised and rewarded. It gives you a strong sense of pride to been rewarded by your peers, but it’s a real team effort and the guys on site are every bit as committed as I am.”
Fraser Conn, Sales and Marketing Director at Bellway Homes, congratulated George on his recent win. He said:
“On behalf of the company, we’re very proud of George and his team at The Avenues, their dedication as resulted in this deserved success.
“At Bellway we never lose sight of the fact we’re creating home for someone. So it’s important that we have highly trained and skilled individuals working with us who recognise this too. This ensures that all our customers benefit from a product of genuine quality and craftsmanship.”
The ease of commute to Glasgow city centre and across much of the central belt has further added to the appeal of this highly attractive location for homebuyers. So too has the exceptional mix of three, four and five-bedroom detached homes in an extensive choice of different house types, which George and his team have built with great care and attention to detail.
Each home offers a stylish and spacious interior, complete with a range of key features from en-suite master bedrooms to large dining kitchens, bay windowed lounges and double garages. Externally, the thoughtful design aspects of the development are also apparent, such as the tree-lined entrance to The Avenues and the communal landscape areas and pathways.
With Uddingston, Baillieston and the conservation village of Bothwell close by, as well as the extensive retail outlet Glasgow Fort and links to the nearby M73, M74 and M8, The Avenues is one of the best positioned new developments on this side of the city.
Further adding to the appeal of The Avenues is that Bellway Homes provides a choice of incentives to support buyers including ‘Part Exchange’, ‘5% Deposit Paid’ and ‘MI New Home’.
