Become the catalyst for change: Registration opens at Futurebuild 2020

Registration has opened for Futurebuild 2020 with a call to industry to act now if we are to successfully tackle the challenges facing us all. By joining the event from 03 to 05 March at ExCeL London, visitors will be able to unite with industry innovators to tackle climate change and become the catalyst for change that’s so greatly needed.

Martin Hurn, Event Director at Futurebuild, explains: “We have never been under more pressure to act. The UN’s World Meteorological Organisation has just announced that the concentration of climate-heating greenhouse gases has hit a record high and it’s clear that action on the climate emergency to date is having no effect on the atmosphere. It has therefore never been more important for industry to come together and act now. Without radical thinking and true collaboration, we will fail.”

Futurebuild 2020 will provide a platform for professionals from across the built environment to debate issues, discuss new technologies and push-forward game-changing innovations that are so urgently needed. These innovations will be brought to life across the renowned CPD accredited knowledge programme, deep dive workshops and the immersive exhibition of leading brands and organisations.

Setting the agenda

The agenda setting Futurebuild 2020 conference will follow a three-day progression; with a central theme of how to respond to the climate and ecological crisis facing us and make a real change.

With the central Conference Stage featuring politicians, academics and industry shapers discussing and debating the biggest macro level issues, six Keynote Stages across the event floor will look at the specific challenges impacting Building, Offsite, Energy, Interiors, Resourceful Materials and Critical Infrastructure. Solution-driven sessions will share the latest thinking and research, to educate, inform and inspire visitors to make a positive change.

Beyond the stages

Around each Keynote Stage there will be an exhibition of innovative brands, offering unique solutions to the challenges discussed in the companion knowledge programme. The exhibition will feature some of the largest headline brands in the sector, alongside SMEs and start-up organisations.

Across the exhibition, brands and organisations that are leading the way will be recognised through the Innovation Trail. Guided trails will take visitors on a journey through the event and immerse them in the latest thinking from the Innovation Partners which include ACO Technologies, Geberit, Lumi-Plugin, Steico and Hadley Group.

The game changers are back

With innovation key to the event, Futurebuild 2020 will see the return of the Big Innovation Pitch. Hosted in conjunction with BRE as technical partner, the competition will be the industry’s largest call-out for innovation to date and will identify and celebrate novel new approaches to some of the biggest challenges facing us all.

Martin Hurn, Event Director at Futurebuild commented: “Futurebuild 2020 will provide the perfect platform for forward-thinking decision makers across the built environment to come together and play a key part in driving positive change.

“We understand that taking time out of work to attend events can be a challenge, which is why we will make sure that visitors are engaged across a number of levels, from the world class knowledge programme in the Arena and on the Keynote Stages, to the showcase of the latest innovations across the exhibition. Innovation to us is more than just futuristic ideas, it’s about sharing the latest thinking and ideas, processes and solutions, products and materials. All of these things coming together under one roof at Futurebuild 2020 will inspire people to do things differently and create real change.”
