Including materials manufacturers, suppliers, the architects who use them, and a Cradle2Cradle Built Positive UK debut
Materials 2017 – the new conference and exhibition focused entirely on materials for architecture, construction, and design – has announced the latest additions to its bustling second seminar area.
In addition to a full CPD seminar area delivering over 10.5 hours of CPD content on architectural materials, this second seminar area will feature talks from a comprehensive mix of materials manufacturers, suppliers, architects, and industry associations.
Materials 2017 exhibitors; Brimstone, Imperial Bricks, Metamark Technical Films, Rockfon, Guardian Glass, Stora Enso, and more will all be contributing seminars or CPD talks focusing on the latest innovations in building materials such as thermally modified timber, bricks for restoration, and the evolution of glass and high performance coatings.
Key figures from industry associations such as the Alliance of Sustainable Building Materials (ASBP) will be appearing, discussing the importance of healthy products, how to identify them, and their significance to both people and planet. In compliment to this, the first public appearance of the Built Positive workshop in the UK will be taking place on Wednesday 26 April.
Built Positive is the co-creative movement by the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute established to increase the built environment’s positive impact on people, planet, and economy by designing materials for circularity, innovating to improve these inputs, and quantifying their positive impact from the molecule through to the metropolis.
Materials 2017’s seminar areas have been curated especially to give the architect and specifier the most up-to-date information on materials for architecture, construction, and design – helping them to guide their designs with strong and informed principles.
