William Pedersen is the founding design partner of Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, which he started with A. Eugene Kohn and Sheldon Fox in 1974.
Pedersen sat down with CTBUH to discuss his vision for the iconic Shanghai World Financial Center, which was recognised as the 10 Year Award Category Winner for 2008 completions in the 2018 CTBUH Awards Program. He conveyed the importance of designing tall buildings that embrace their surroundings and actively engage with the urban realm.
