GEZE UK, the UK’s leading door and window control system manufacturer, and Q-railing, the premium brand for designer railing systems and glass balustrades are joining forces to offer architects across the midlands a unique learning and networking opportunity.
The Classic meets Contemporary presentation takes place at Fazeley Studios in Digbeth, Birmingham, a stunning conversion of an 1865 Unitarian Chapel and Sunday School into a stylish event venue.
Taking place on Thursday 16th October the event includes two RIBA approved CPD seminars as well as a tour of Fazeley Studios, which includes the Grand Gallery and the Old Ikon Gallery as well as the nearby Custard Factory where Sir Alfred Bird first made Bird’s Custard and is now a centre for creative and digital businesses, independent shops and events.
GEZE UK will be presenting Removing Barriers to Access CPD which provides guidance in the use and specification of door control devices so that doors do not become obstacles. Whilst Q-railing will present the Specifiers Guide to Frameless Balustrades CPD, a seminar which gives specifiers an understanding of the relevant standards and their everyday application.
This exclusive event is for architects only and places must be booked through Eventbrite.
Beginning at 1pm with lunch, this event is an opportunity for architects to enjoy the history and architecture of these buildings that date back to the industrial revolution and gain CPD points through the RIBA approved seminars.
Andy Howland, GEZE UK’s sales director, said:
“Following on from our success of a similar event for architects in London last year, this promises to be another special event and one in which I am sure architects will both enjoy and learn”
Bruce Bradshaw, general manager Q-railing, added:
“With two well established companies joining forces, architects can be sure that the event will be an afternoon to remember.”
