Airflow Developments, specialist in home ventilation, will be exhibiting at Grand Designs Live at the NEC Birmingham from the 11th to the 15th October 2017. With indoor air quality a key concern for many Grand Designs Live visitors, Airflow will be showcasing its wide portfolio of ventilation solutions including, Adroit units, Airflex Pro semi-rigid ducting and a range of residential fans to help self-builders make their home a healthier place to live.
Utilising the latest in Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) technology, the Passive House certified Adroit units provide a ‘whole house’ solution to ventilation. Helping to maintain a healthy environment whilst maximising energy efficiency, Adroit recovers over 90 per cent of the heat that would typically be lost during the ventilation process and uses it to pre-warm the incoming fresh, filtered outdoor air that is supplied around your home. Specified for Heathcott Road, Leicester, the Adroit was critical to the development achieving Passive House certification, the largest housing scheme in Europe to receive the status.
Airflow will also be exhibiting the Airflex Pro range of semi-rigid ducting. Available in both oval and round profiles, this zero leakage ducting has SAP approval and can reduce the on-site installation process by up to 70 per cent when compared to traditional rigid or spiral ducting.
A selection of Airflow’s range of residential fans that offer a number of solutions for those looking for high quality extractor fans for their kitchen, bathroom or toilet will be available to experience on stand B462, including:
- iCON, a stylish IPX4 rated fan featuring a unique, Red Dot Design Award winning iris shutter design.
- iCONstant, the quietest dMEV fan available on the market for kitchens, bathrooms and toilets.
- Loovent eco, a compact, discrete centrifugal extractor fan that provides effective ventilation for longer duct runs.
- QuietAir, a low energy extraction solution with a sound level of just 25 db(A) that features both Red Dot and Quiet Mark accreditation.
Airflow will again sponsor The Grand Theatre, which will provide both insightful and inspiring talks and seminars for aspiring Grand Designers. Airflow will be presenting its own CPD seminars at 10.15am every day and will host a seminar on the importance of ventilation in the fight against indoor air pollution on Friday 13th October at 12pm. Airflow will also be providing ‘Ask an Expert’ slots throughout the exhibition.
